How area targeting works

Choose where your ad plays, then see where it was watched.

  1. Drop a pin and set a radius

When you create a campaign you choose its areas on a map: a point and a distance around it, as many as you like. Or you choose everywhere.

  2. Outside your areas, your ad waits

Every five minutes each screen checks which campaigns cover the place it is in. While a car is outside your areas, your ad isn't among them.

  3. Inside, it plays in turn

Once a car is in one of your areas, your ad plays in turn with the other campaigns there. That can be a few minutes after the car crosses the line.

  4. Each impression goes on your map

When a passenger watches, the screen records an impression and where it happened, to the nearest 100 metres. Your heat map and your spend fill in while the campaign runs.

The budget and the number of impressions shown in the video are an example, not a price. The dashboard estimates the impressions for your own areas and dates before you start.
