About Lumo
Lumo sells advertising on screens inside rideshare cars in Johannesburg. Businesses show their ads to the passengers in the back seat, and pay for the people who watch and scan them.
What we do
We fit screens in rideshare cars, facing the passengers. An advertiser chooses the areas their ad plays in, sets a budget and dates, and uploads an image or video. While a car drives through those areas, the ad plays on its screen.
In their dashboard the advertiser sees how many people watched, where and when, and how many scanned the ad’s QR code. Learn has a one-minute video of how it works.
Who pays us, and for what
Advertisers: businesses of any size, and the agencies that work for them. They pay for impressions (a passenger watching the ad) and engagements (a passenger scanning its QR code), by card, once a day for the day before. Prices are on Pricing; refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Drivers and passengers
Drivers who host a screen in their car are paid a fixed amount each month, under a written agreement with Lumo.
Passengers pay nothing. The screen counts how many people look at it without recognising anyone. Our privacy policy says what is collected.
